Officials with Yonkers Raceway have announced that the track will be offering an upcoming purse increase.
Yonkers Raceway will be offering a nearly across-the-board purse increase of approximately 10 per cent, effective with the race week that will begin on Monday, March 2.
The aforementioned increase will applied to all overnight classes, save for the bottom-level claimers and bottom-level conditions. Yonkers’ new purse structure will range from $10,000 to $44,000.
“We understand horsemen have options and our goal is to maintain five programs a week of the best racing possible,” race secretary Bob Miecuna said.
