Rideau Carelton Raceway has become the second Canadian track to cancel its scheduled program of live racing for today (Sunday, February 24).
Officials with Rideau were forced to cancel the track’s Sunday live card due to unsafe track conditions. Rideau’s qualifying session was also cancelled. The next card of live racing at the Ottawa-area oval is scheduled for Sunday, March 3.
Officials with Fraser Downs were also forced to cancel the British Columbia track’s card of live racing that was slated for Sunday. The cancellation came as a result of ongoing problems with the racing surface caused by the challenging weather conditions on the west coast. Fraser's next card of harness racing is slated for Friday, March 1.
