Meadowlands Racetrack will celebrate women in racing on Saturday, March 7 ahead of International Women's Day.

The evening will include sizzle videos and interviews with the industry’s top female trainers, drivers and grooms, as well as races featuring an all-female driver fields. Interested female drivers can reach out to Karen Fagliarone at [email protected]. The first 20 interested parties will receive a slot for the 2026 International Women’s Day celebration.

Debbie Little and Meadow Twaddle will host the Meadowlands broadcast that evening and will be joined by Heather Wilder, who will be onsite for back-paddock interviews. Melissa Keith, the full-time announcer at Rideau Carleton Raceway, will be on hand to call the night’s races. Kiara Morgan will handle FanDuel TV duties on both Friday and Saturday night.

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. IWD has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911, supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization-specific.
