Three live-money qualifying events that will offer a total of six seats to the $50,000 World Harness Handicapping Championship are scheduled for Saturday, February 21 at Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment, Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs.
The Meadowlands tournament offers a total of four seats. It requires a $200 entry fee plus the purchase of a $200 betting card. The entire $200 entry fee goes into the prize pool and will be distributed amongst the top 10 finishers. Contestants will bet a total of 10 races on the Meadowlands card. Players keep all pari-mutuel earnings and in addition to prize money, the top four finishers will receive a seat in the WHHC Final on April 25. For more information, visit playmeadowlands.com.
Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs will also offer live money tournaments on Saturday. The contests each require a $40 entry fee that will be used for 10 separate $2 win/place wagers on the 10 designated contest races. The contests will use five races from the Meadowlands and five races from Yonkers.
