The fourth annual Goshen Yearling Sale has been set for Sunday (Sept. 9) at the Mark Ford Training Center in Middletown, N.Y., just down the road from the Goshen Historic Track, the “Cradle of the Trotter.”
The Goshen Yearling Sale has continued to grow year-over-year as an attractive option for both buyers and consignors. The 2018 sale will include consignments from Winbak Farms, Blue Chip Farms, Hanover Shoe Farms, Boxwood Farm, Concord Stud Farm and Cameo Hills Farm.
The Goshen Standardbred Horse Sales Co. is looking forward to another robust sale in 2018, as it offers a lucrative market for those buying yearlings in the Northeast region, including the prosperous New York Sires Stakes program.
“This sale has grown every year and with its great popularity will continue to do so,” said Mark Ford. “The location is ideal for any horsemen located on the east coast and brings the industry out on a prime September Sunday to Goshen, which has the deepest harness racing roots of anywhere in the country. This sale is perfectly situated for anyone who wants to participate, whether it’s as a buyer or as a consignor.”
The Middletown, N.Y. location is conveniently located within an hour of most racetracks and training centers in the tri-state area, making it an ideal location to consign N.Y.-, N.J.- and Pa.-bred yearlings.
All industry farms and agencies are welcome and encouraged to participate in the Goshen Yearling Sale. Entries close June 1.
