Meadowlands Racetrack, Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs has released an updated list of stallion offspring excluded from stakes events at racetracks owned by Jeff Gural in accordance with its Stallion Restriction Condition (SRC) rules.
The Stallion Restriction Condition (aka the 'Gural Rule') precludes all foals from the first crop only of any sire who does not meet the condition from being made eligible to any stakes/early closing races that include the SRC within the stakes conditions.
The list of non-compliant stallions and the races from which they are excluded may be found on The Meadowlands website and can be viewed along with full SRC details by clicking here.
The Meadowlands has reiterated that the language within the SRC, Article 2, identifies the responsibility of the stallion handlers to notify potential breeders of the horse's status.
