Officials with the Meadowlands Racetrack have announced that the track’s new condition sheet offers a few interesting propositions for horsepeople to consider for the upcoming week's racing at the East Rutherford, NJ oval.

Via release, the track has announced that the Meadowlands’ race secretary, Pete Koch, has fashioned two mini-series that provide a race next week ‘then come back the following week for an inflated purse as was done in the previously-titled Dash for the C-notes.’

For Thursday, February 19, the sheet includes a class for pacing mares that are NW of $5,000 Last 5 starts / Optional $12,500 claim, then one for straight $12,500 claiming trotters on Friday. The top finishers from the pacing mares’ races will return for a $25,000 final the following Thursday and the top trotters for $20,000 on the following Friday. The release states that the races must field a minimum of two divisions to return for a final.

The draw for Thursday, February 19 will have an entry-box closing time of 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 14.

Interested parties can examine the next condition sheet by clicking here and can call the track’s race office at 877-782-2537.
