Red Shores Summerside and Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park are closed due to a major winter storm hitting Prince Edward Island.

Officials from Rideau Carleton Raceway have informed Trot Insider that the track's Thursday, February 3 qualifying session has been cancelled.
The cancellation is due to the snow storm which has now blasted its way through the Ottawa Valley.

Trot Insider has learned that Truro Raceway has cancelled its simulcast program for Wednesday, February 2 due to the winter storm.
Officials at Windsor Raceway have confirmed with Trot Insider the track’s scheduled card of racing for Wednesday, February 2 has been cancelled.
The track officials have cited “very hazardous road conditions” and have noted that in the neighbouring state of Michigan a ‘Level 3’ warning has been issued which does not allow people to drive on particular roads.
Western Fair Raceway has announced that it has cancelled its scheduled card of live racing for Wednesday, February 2 due to last night’s storm and the fact that the London area is currently experiencing additional snowfall making travel to and from the track a challenge.
The track's next live program is slated for Friday night with a 7:05 p.m. first-race post time.

Windsor Raceway has pulled the plug on its qualifying session scheduled for Wednesday, February 2.
Another imminent winter storm has prompted Monticello Raceway to cancel its live racing program on Wednesday, February 2.
Simulcasting, both day and night, is also cancelled.
Qualifying races, which usually go on Wednesdays, have been called off and they will be rescheduled at a later date.
Weather permitting, racing will resume on Thursday, February 3 with first post slated for 12:25 p.m.

Due to blizzard-like conditions, Balmoral Park has been forced to cancel its live racing program which had been scheduled for Wednesday, February 2, 2011.
Qualifiers which were scheduled for Wednesday morning were also cancelled after a blizzard warning was put into effect from 3:00 p.m. Tuesday until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday for the entire Chicagoland area.
The storm is expected to dump between 15-24 inches of snow throughout the two-day period with wind gusts exceeding 50 mph at times.
The draw for Saturday’s Balmoral card has been moved back to Thursday, February 3 as well. Entries will close at 10:00 a.m.
No decision has been made as to the status of live racing at Maywood Park on Thursday, February 3 as of this time.

An imminent winter storm has prompted officials at Flamboro Downs to cancel its card of live racing scheduled for Wednesday, February 2.
A massive storm system is expected to dump as much as 40 centimetres of snow on southern Ontario between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. The system is also packing high winds and freezing rain.
“We’re going to get quite the storm,” said Rob Davis, a meteorologist at The Weather Network. “It's almost a guarantee it'll be more than 15 centimetres -- it's just a question of how much more.”
Flamboro Downs will resume live racing on the afternoon of Thursday, February 3 with a 1:00 p.m. first-race post time.

Buffalo Raceway has cancelled its card of live harness racing for Wednesday, February 2.
The winter storm is predicted to hit the Buffalo area early Wednesday and last throughout much of the day dumping eight to 12 inches of snow.
Live racing at Buffalo Raceway will resume Friday, February 4 at 6:40 p.m.
The qualifying session scheduled for Wednesday, February 2 will be moved to Friday, February 4 at 5:00 pm.
At this time simulcast will remain open.

Due to inclement weather, Hoosier Park Racing & Casino will be closed for simulcasting Tuesday, February 1. The Merrillville OTB and the Indianapolis OTB will also be closed Tuesday, February 1. The Fort Wayne OTB is not open for business on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Storm Warning until 7:00 p.m. (EST) on Wednesday, February 2.
