The Ontario Harness Horse Association has issued announcements regarding an upcoming district meeting, its upcoming holiday hours, and its next annual membership meeting.
In regard to the district meeting, it is for District 11 members and has been scheduled for Thursday, December 13 at 6:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Metropolitan Branch 594, located at 5030 Howard in Windsor, Ont. The district meeting has been called to discuss the future of racing in southwestern Ontario and the initiative to restore racing in the region. Agenda items include discussion and a vote regarding racing at Leamington Raceway and a new 'B' track for southwestern Ontario. A vote will be also be taken regarding possible financing of any initiatives to restore racing in southwestern Ontario. Please don’t forget your membership card so membership can be verified at the door.
In regard to OHHA's holiday hours, its offices at 35 Crawford Crescent will be closed on Monday, December 24, Tuesday, December 25, Wednesday, December 26, Monday, December 31 and Tuesday, January 1.
OHHA’s annual membership meeting is scheduled for Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Delta Meadowvale Hotel, located at 6750 Mississauga Road in Mississauga, Ont. The postal code for the hotel is L5N 2L3 and the meeting will be taking place in the Hazel McCallion Room. All members are invited and strongly encouraged to attend this meeting.
