Trot Insider has received details for the third annual Chase McEachern Memorial Hockey For Heart Tournament. Fifteen lucky participants will have the opportunity to face off against one of the Toronto Maple Leafs' all
-time greats.
The 2010 edition of the Chase McEachern Memorial Hockey For Heart Tournament will be taking place from February 26 through 28 at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre in Alliston, Ont.
Registration for adult recreational teams is now open. Three games are guaranteed for each team.
The top 15 fundraisers will play against the 'Prostars' team of National Hockey League (NHL) and pro-hockey alumni, including former Leaf captain Wendel Clark.
There will also be a chance to 'Shoot to Win' $10,000.
Along with donors, the Chase McEachern Tribute Fund and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada have placed AEDs (Automatic External Defibrillators) throughout Ontario. To date there have been 18 lives saved by the machines.
