Monticello Calls For 65-Year-Old Drivers

Tim Tetrick isn’t eligible. Neither are George Brennan nor Jason Bartlett. They just don’t fit the criteria

On Sunday, December 19, Monticello Raceway will stage its second Metamucil Mile -- a race for drivers that are 65 years or older.

Local drivers John Gilmour, Bubba Washington, Alan Schwartz and Gerry Fielding all fit the criteria, but the track is looking for more interested participants.

“Even if they haven’t raced here this season, any older driver, with a full license, can join us for this race if they want to," said Eric Warner, the track’s director of racing.

Any driver that might be interested can contact Warner in the race office at by calling 845-794-4100 (Ext. 557), or they can call the publicity office at extension 455.
