Officials with ‘Post Time with Mike and Mike’ have announced that nominations for the show’s annual awards are now open.
Nominations will be taken for the following categories: USTA Innovator of the Year, Ted Barcus Race Fan of the Year, Larry Rheinheimer Small Stable of the Year, Sam McKee Race Call of the Year, Horsewomen of the Year, Foiled Again Iron Horse of the Year, and Upset of the Year.
Anyone can be nominated for any of the categories with the exception of the Iron Horse of the Year award. For that award, nominees will have to be Standardbreds who are either 13 or 14 years of age and have made at least 200 starts during their racing careers and have at least 10 starts in 2019.
A short biography is required with each nomination and only one nomination for each category per person.
Nominations will be open until noon on Monday, December 23. Voting for the awards will begin at noon on Thursday, December 26 and will run until noon on Tuesday, January 14. The 2019 Post Time with Mike and Mike Awards will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2020.
