On Monday, December 5, the Ontario Racing Commission released its rulings on appeals by drivers Billy Davis, Jr., Bradley Harris, Anthony MacDonald, James MacDonald and Mark MacDonald.
In regard to Billy Davis, Jr., Anthony MacDonald and James MacDonald, the trio had combined to appeal fines for 'failing to drive when programmed' at Georgian Downs on October 7, 2011. Davis had been fined $150, while Anthony and James were fined $200 and $50, respectively.
The ORC panel hearing the driving trio's case denied the appeal, but it did rule that 'there will be a policy drawn up and they (the three drivers) will be working with the race offices to ensure that there is a more co-ordinated effort for driver changes.'
