Teddy 'Ted' Barcus Passes

Teddy F. Barcus, of Delaware and formerly Sunbury, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Willow Brook Christian Village at the age of 70.

He was born on April 13, 1945 in Sunbury to the late Loren and Leona (Price) Barcus. He had worked as a janitor for Alpha Industries.

Teddy enjoyed going to fairs all over the state and especially the Delaware County Fair. Teddy collected hats, loved trains, big names and long words. Teddy was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. He spent time helping various horsemen at the fairgrounds grooming and feeding horses and made many friends in the harness racing industry who this Christmas sent him 300-plus cards.

He is survived by brother: Rick Barcus of Centerburg; sister: Judy Corwin of Delaware; nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Donnie Akers officiating. Interment will follow in the Trenton Cemetery.
