A slew of upsets last Wednesday night (November 29) left a few carryovers on the menu for Pompano Park's Sunday night (December 3) program.
The card will begin with a $2,629 Pick 5 carryover in the first race. Track officials, in conjunction with the USTA Strategic Wagering Program, have placed an ‘instant guarantee’ of $10,000 on the total Pick 5 pool.
Wednesday night’s 10th race finale featured a $1 trifecta payout of $9,673.50 and a 20-cent Hi-Five payout of $38,629.32, but fans were unable to come up with the winning 20-cent superfecta combination, thus leaving a $4,953 carryover into Sunday night. Track officials have opted to cancel the superfecta in the short field for Race 1, so the superfecta carryover will move to Race 2.
As usual, Sunday night’s Pick 4 features a $10,000 guaranteed pool and will begin in Race 6. Track officials have joined forces with the USTA’s Strategic Wagering Program to offer nightly guarantees in the Pick 4 beginning in December with a $10,000 guarantee on Sunday nights, followed by a $7,500 guarantee on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings. The Pick 4 features a 50-cent minimum, and offers the lowest takeout in North America at 12 per cent.

Live racing continues at the Isle Casino Pompano Park four nights per week, with a 7:20 p.m. first post every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evening. Saturday evenings return to the schedule beginning December 16.
