Woodbine Racetrack will once again present a $40,000 guaranteed pool for its early Pick-4 for its card of racing on Friday, December 3
.
Greg Gangle of WEG’s media department has handicapped the four races and offers his thoughts on Friday night's Pick-4 wager.
Race 4 – 9, 5, 4
9. Tracey My Love – Obviously is my No. 1 choice after posting four consecutive victories. Her most recent was at this same class level. Post 9 shouldn’t be that much of a disadvantage given that she is known to come from well off the pace.
5. Adrion Dream – Looks like a new horse since her October 23 victory at Kawartha Downs. I included her in my Pick-4 ticket last week and I think she has the capabilities to upset likely post time favourite Tracy My Love.
4. Skyway Cruiser – Has earned $180k this season so he has obviously done something right for his connections. This will be the second start for trainer Brian Lee after a third-place finish in this class last week. I think he’ll improve on his performance tonight.
Overall thoughts: I think we should be okay in this race; however, Northern Spark could upset the ticket. You might want to throw him in just in case.
Race 5 – 6, 9
6. St Lads Treasure – After a pair of qualifiers she finished a respectable third after a short layoff. With a start under her belt for her trainer Bill Davis, I think she could step up even more tonight and likely offer a valuable price.
9. Queen Of Royalty – Has posted back-to-back wins at Windsor Raceway and should offer bettors a solid price especially from Post 9. She is chancy there’s no question but she has been putting her best foot forward as of late.
Overall thoughts: Shipps Bikini scares me the most not to have her included. She has a lot of back-class but hasn’t been performing as expected. This race appears rather wide-open.
Race 6 – 8, 5
8. Caries Credit – Scored a wire-to-wire victory in this same class on November 19. He seems to be the class of the field with over $400k earned lifetime. I’m not convinced he can get the job done which is why I threw in a secondary pick in Solar Kash.
5 – Solar Kash – If he minds his manners he has enough talent to get the job done tonight. He came from well off the pace to finish a solid second in his most recent. He’s a chancy wager when looking at his program lines.
Overall thoughts: I feel fairly confident with Solar Kash and Caries Credit. A horse that could spoil the ticket is Abs Yankee Rail. He’s been knocking on the door lately.
Race 7 – 7, 4, 3
7. Full Circle Patty – Has been racing very consistently as of late being no worse than second in her last three starts. Saftic will likely position her once again near the front and look to control the tempo. She’s a must have in your ticket.
4. Tymal Dalia – Defeated Full Circle Patty two starts ago and she can do it again tonight. She also likes to race near the front so expect both fillies looking for position in the early going. There's no reason she can’t score another victory for the driver/trainer combination of Jamieson and Gillis.
3. Lyons Lass – Will likely offer higher odds for bettors based on her disappointing eighth-place effort in her last start. She has won 4 of 10 starts coming into tonight’s event. With trainer Goit’s impressive training percentage I’m sure he will have her ready for tonight.
Overall thoughts: This is the race I feel the most confident in. With my three selections we should secure the ticket.
