The Meadows Racetrack & Casino will offer 186 live racing programs in 2016, highlighted by the final of the 50th edition of the Delvin Miller Adios Pace for the Orchids Presented by Coors Light the evening of Saturday, July 30.
Adios eliminations are set for Saturday afternoon, July 23.
For most of the year, The Meadows will present four live cards per week — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday — each beginning at 1 p.m. Other highlights of the 2016 schedule include:
- Live cards to complement each leg of the Thoroughbred Triple Crown with the special post time of 11:25 a.m.
- A return to holiday racing. While The Meadows has been dark on holidays in recent years, the 2016 schedule features live racing on a number of major holidays, including Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Post time for those holiday cards is 5 p.m.
- An evening program Friday, Jan. 22, first post 5 p.m., to celebrate The Meadows’ champions of 2015. The Meadows Standardbred Owners Association will join with The Meadows in staging the event.
- One-week breaks from live racing before the Kentucky Derby and after the Adios, and a three-week hiatus in September.
