Trot Insider has learned that longtime horseman Joe Leonardis of Toronto, Ontario passed away earlier this afternoon. He was 64.
Leonardis owned a number of top performers including the second female pacer to crack the 1:50 barrier in the history of the sport, Jays Table (1:49.3 - $840,511), along with the likes of Miatross (1:51.3 - $420,857), Miasbunny (1:51.1 - $349,500) and Jaydexter (1:52.2 – $169,140).
