Northlands Park Racetrack & Casino will be hosting the first ever Standardbreds Forever Art Show. The Art show will take place on Saturday, December 26 (Boxing Day) and Sunday, December 27.
The show will be held both days on the 2nd Floor and will take place from 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
There will be 13 beautiful art pieces on display and each piece will be available for purchase through a silent auction. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Little Bits Therapeutic Riding Association for persons with disabilities.
"We are really excited for this event," says co-coordinator Orianna Scheck. "It’s our first ever Art Show and we’re hoping it will generate some interest and it’s for a great cause. There are four of us taking part this year including Jill Daleney, Thalia Martin and Evelyn Sabraw. The Art pieces are very beautiful and are all based around Standardbreds or Standardbred racing. We hope that we can continue to have future events like this."
In addition, there is a Standardbreds Forever Feature race for both days. Retired Standardbred racehorse 'El Paso' will be representing Standardbreds Forever and will lead the post parade for the seventh race on both days.
Here’s a sneak peak of some of the art items that will be at the show.
