His latest start was declared a no-contest at the quarter pole but Burn Out Hanover will be searching for the winner’s circle again this week in the Saturday (Dec. 21) afternoon feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The 14-dash Saturday card gets underway at 12:30 P.M. with the $2,750 feature lining up in the finale. Hes Marvalous has rail control for the family combination of driver Myles Heffernan Sr., trainer Myles Heffernan Jr., and owner Jackie Heffernan of Summerville. The six-year-old son of Delmarvalous was a winner in his last start in 1:58.2 off the front end and has another favourable spot to leave from this week.
Burn Out Hanover has post four in the evenly-matched featured field with Kenny Arsenault in the bike for trainer Jeff Holmes. Creepin was second in the preferred his last start to Rose Run Quest, and with that top pacer absent this week the David Dowling driven Creepin is the morning line favourite from post six.
Race analyst Les MacIsaac will side with Burn Out Hanover for the top placing.
“We liked Burn Out Hanover going into last week’s race which was eventually declared a no contest,” MacIsaac said. “Since the opposition is the same today and he gets a similar post we don't see any reason not to go back to him.”
Completing the featured field are Screen Test (Corey MacPherson), Eagle Jolt (Marc Campbell), Rockin Indy (Mike McGuigan), Winter Blast (Jason Hughes) and Bank Of Dad (Adam Merner).
Collective Wisdom gets top billing in the $2,450 mares pace in Race 13. McGuigan picks up the catch drive for trainer Jackie Matheson and owner Woodmere Farms of Marshfield after the daughter of American Ideal pounded out a front-end victory of 1:58.4 in her latest start with Gilles Barrieau in the bike that day. Other top mares entries are the Kevin Gilles trained duo of Drivingthedragon N (Hughes) and Rocknrols Image (Arsenault).
