It has been announced that famed Standardbred announcer Roger 'The Voice' Huston will be helming the industry's newest podcast.

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association has unveiled the first in a new series of podcasts, ‘Top of the Stretch,’ which will be hosted by Roger ‘The Voice’ Huston, who recently took on the role of brand ambassador for the OHHA.

The podcasts will feature updates on the harness racing industry, focusing on Ohio. There will also be features on drivers, trainers and others associated with harness racing. The podcasts will also look at what is happening at Ohio’s four pari-mutuel tracks and the summer county fair racing circuit.

Huston, who has been calling harness races since 1960, will bring his knowledge and passion of the sport to listeners in an entertaining and informative fashion. “I think this is a great opportunity. It is a chance to get to the people that are involved in racing and hopefully reach some new fans and increase the awareness of harness racing in the Buckeye State.”

In the inaugural podcast, Huston sits down with Renee Mancino, the executive director of the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association, to discuss harness racing in the Buckeye State. The two discuss Mancino’s career, where harness racing stands as an industry in Ohio, and where it is going.

All episodes of Top of the Stretch will be available for download on the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association website (OHHA.com) as well as Apple Podcast and Google Podcast.

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association is a non-profit organization serving Standardbred horse owners, breeders, trainers, drivers and fans who participate in the sport of harness racing in the Buckeye State.

OHHA was founded in 1953. The mission of the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association is to preserve, protect, promote and serve the entire Standardbred industry in Ohio and beyond.
