Mike Ewashko was a predominant owner through the 1980's and 1990's at Queensbury Downs in Regina, Saskatchewan. In 1953, he began his 35-year career with the Regina Fire Department. It was his time nearing retirement that he became more involved in harness racing with trainer-driver Doug Shaw, and owned many horses and experienced lots of success during this time.
His greatest love was his family and he will be missed.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at Speers Funeral Home, 2136 College Avenue in Regina.
