The Meadows Racetrack today announced its live schedule for 2011, featuring 208 cards which blend daylight and evening racing. The schedule has been approved by the
Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission.
The Meadows generally will offer four live cards each week, with first post Monday and Tuesday at 12:55 p.m. and Wednesday and Friday cards underway at 6:55 p.m.
“We are delighted to offer as many live cards in 2011 as we did in 2010,” said Mike Jeannot, president of Meadows Racing. “While many tracks are cutting back, we will provide a robust product indicative of the health of harness racing at the Meadows … and throughout Pennsylvania.”
Among the schedule’s highlights:
- The Meadows will race 50 weeks in 2011, breaking only for Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks.
- Live racing will take place on seven Saturdays in June and July.
- Eliminations for the Delvin Miller Adios, the track’s signature event, are set for Saturday, July 23, with first post at 6:55 PM. The Adios final card July 30 gets underway at 12:55 PM.
The 2011 season kicks off Monday, July 3, following a week’s holiday hiatus.
