Following the hearings that concluded today, the Ontario Racing Commission is releasing decisions on appeals held regarding 2010 race dates schedules for Windsor, Western Fair and Sudbury

Windsor Raceway’s appeal of Director’s decision on 2010 race dates was heard on December 10 and was denied. As a result Windsor Raceway is required to race the same race date schedule as they did in 2009.
Western Fair Raceway’s appeal of Director’s decision on 2010 race dates was also heard on December 10 and was allowed. As a result Western Fair will be increasing to four days a week from January to April, and to five days a week in November and December. Additionally, the summer break will run from the end of May to the first weekend after Thanksgiving in mid-October.
Sudbury Downs’ appeal of Director’s decision on 2010 race dates was heard on December 16 and was denied with reasons to follow. As a result Sudbury Downs is required to race the same race date schedule as they did in 2009.
Hanover Raceway’s appeal of Director’s decision on 2010 race dates for Grand River Raceway was also heard on December 16, 2009, but the decision will be released at a later date.
