Longtime industry participant Timothy 'Tim' Hennessy of Rockwood, Ont. passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday December 4, 2018 in his 54th year.

Tim loved horses and found his calling working as a trainer and groom. He started his career at Conlin Stables in Newcastle before spending eight years at Arlomac Farm (Nancy McKenzie) in Campbellville. He then moved on to work for trainers the likes of Ben Baillargeon, Blair Burgess, Tony Kerwood and Jeff Gillis. Tim spent the last six years with Platinum Wood Finishing in Rockwood.

Much loved brother of Jillian Hennessy (Tanya) and Steve Hennessy. Predeceased by his parents Audrey and Nelson, and his brother Mark. Tim will be remembered for his brilliant intelligence, cynical wit, love of music and enlightened conversations. He will truly be missed by his many friends, family, neighbors and co-workers. A special thank you to Al Kurtz, the late Milly Kurtz and Wayne Kurtz for their warmth and kindness, who Tim thought of as a second family. A special acknowledgement also to Cynthia Woroch and family of Rockwood.

Cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to The Salvation Army would be appreciated.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the family and friends of Tim Hennessy.
