A combination of Tioga Downs, Vernon Downs, the Southern Tier Harness Horsemen’s Association, and Jeff Gural will personally donate a total of $7,000 to the
Lebanon Horsemen’s Disaster Relief Fund.
The fund was set up by the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association (OHHA) to provide relief for the horsemen affected by the barn fire at Lebanon Raceway.
“The fire at Lebanon Raceway was a tragedy and is every horseman’s worst nightmare. We wanted to step up and help out those that were affected by this tragedy and let them know they are in our thoughts and prayers during this holiday season," said Jeff Gural, chairman and owner of both Tioga and Vernon Downs.
Anyone wishing to make donations can do so through two known funds. Lebanon Raceway has established a fund through the LCNB National Bank – Barn 16 Donation Account – 2 N. Broadway – Lebanon, OH 45036.
The OHHA’s fund is set up through National City Bank. It’s titled Lebanon Horsemen’s Relief Fund – 763 Neil Ave – Columbus, OH 43215. For further information you can contact OHHA general manager Jerry Knappenberger at 800-353-6442.
