Several upsets sent Pick 5 tickets overboard on Sunday night at Pompano Park, with only one favourite winning in the first five races.
The result is a $2,523 carryover into Monday (Dec 14), with track officials placing an ‘instant’ $10,000 guarantee on the total pool. The Pick 5 is a nightly wager, featuring a 50-cent minimum and covering the first five races on the card.
Monday evening will also feature a $7,500 guaranteed pool in the 12 per cent takeout Pick 4 covering Races 6 – 9, and a Jackpot Hi-Five carryover of $22,473 in the Race-12 finale.
Live racing continues at Pompano Park four nights per week, with first post of 7:30 p.m. every Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night. Wednesday evenings will be added to the current schedule beginning December 23.
