The Meadowlands Racetrack will be a horse racing paradise on Friday, Nov. 5 and Saturday, Nov. 6 with all-day and all-night racing and dining.
Purses totalling $28 million are up for grabs at the Breeders’ Cup from Del Mar. On Friday, the first of five Breeders’ Cup races on “Future Stars Friday” is scheduled to take place at 5:50 p.m.
Meadowlands' Pink Restaurant buffet dining will open early at 4 p.m. to accommodate those looking to watch the simulcast Thoroughbred action. The $49.95 menu features boneless rib steak, balsamic grilled chicken with scallions, rigatoni and an array of salads and desserts.
On Saturday, fans can watch and wager on the world-class racing beginning at 1:15 p.m. (racetrack doors open at 11 a.m.) leading up to the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic at 8:40 p.m.
Pink Restaurant will open at 12 noon for a special lunch and dinner Breeders’ Cup buffet for $65.95. Lunch features hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixings, herb grilled chicken and French fries along with fresh salads. Dinner begins at 4 p.m. with sliced steak, creamy baked mac-n-cheese, fresh vegetables and baked potatoes. Homemade chocolate cake, apple pie and cookies round out the meal.

On Saturday, regular buffet dining for live racing is available in Trotters for $44.95.
Live harness racing at Meadowlands is back Friday and Saturday with 6:20 p.m. post times.
