On Thursday, November 26, the Ontario Racing Commission released its rulings in regard to appeals from Gerald Lilley, Andrew McCabe, and Craig Toivo Knude.
In regard to Lilley, the ORC allowed his appeal and granted a stay of 60 days. To view an official copy of the ORC’s ruling, click here.
McCabe was appealing Rulings Number SB 46422 and SB 45087, which were issued to him for violation of Rules 9.09 (a) & (b), 26.02.01 and 26.02.02 of the Rules of Standardbred Racing, for a positive test result from the horse, Stompin Tom Creek, which raced in Race 10 at Kawartha Downs on July 12, 2014. Toivo Knude was appealing against a Notice of a Proposed Order to Refuse to Renew his Licence. His appeal against the Notice of Proposed Order to Refuse to Issue a Licence was denied; the Order is confirmed; and the parties shall provide written submissions as to penalty.
