The celebrated Prix d'Amerique in Vincennes, France, one of harness racing's most prestigious events, is a dream destination for those who love the sport of harness racing.

Offered through an annual raffle to benefit the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, last year's winner, Linda Toscano, trainer of Chapter Seven and Market Share, raved, "It's is a ‘must-go’ trip!"

This fabulous trip begins with an airfare voucher valued up to $1,800 and includes a five-day, four-night stay for two at a four-star hotel in the heart of the Montmartre district in Paris, France. A welcoming ‘City of Lights’ tour, a three-course French-cuisine dinner, a tour of the Grobois Training Centre, entrance to the great Prix d'Amerique race and more are included.

Raffle tickets are $25 each and funds raised will be used to provide hay and grain, medical and farrier care, rehabilitation, vaccinations and other related needs for more than 180 standardbreds currently in SRF's care. More than half of these horses are unadoptable due to age or injury under the full care and expense of SRF for the rest of their lives.

Tickets should have arrived by mail to all SRF's supporters and are also available for purchase by contacting [email protected] or by phone 732-446-4422. The winning ticket will be drawn at Showplace Farms in Millstone, NJ on December 13, 2013 at noon; the winner does not need to be present. Help with selling tickets is also much appreciated. Please use the noted contact information.
