Cal Expo has received approval from the California Horse Racing Board to cancel the racing day originally scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010
.
Regrettably, this decision was made as a result of Golden Gate Fields canceling (insufficient number of entries) their Wednesday card.
With Golden Gate Fields canceling, that meant there was no thoroughbred or quarter-horse racing in the State of California on Wednesday, thus making it economically unwise for us to race.
Live harness racing at Cal Expo for the Thanksgiving holiday week will be on Friday & Saturday, November 26 & 27.
