It has been announced that Freehold Raceway and the Meadowlands Racetrack have come together to offer a series that will begin on Saturday, November 19. The Jersey Strong Series is offered for $7,500 claimers and will consist of two legs and a final.
Horses racing in both legs will have preference. Highest point earners will advance to final.
The series will be contested as follows:
Saturday (Nov. 19) – Leg 1, at Freehold - $4,000 purse
Saturday (Nov. 26) - Leg 2, at the Meadowlands - $5,500 purse
Saturday (Dec. 3) – final, at the Meadowlands - $12,500 purse
Saturday (Dec. 3) – consolation, at Freehold - $6,000 purse
Points system:
First place – 35 points
Second place – 25 points
Third place – 15 points
Fourth place – 10 points
Fifth place – 8 points
Sixth place – 6 points
Seventh place – 4 points
Eighth place – 2 points
Ninth and last place – 1 point
