New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program is currently organizing its 28th annual Stallion Auction to be held via ongait.com from Feb. 3-5, 2026.
The Standardbred Transition Alliance accredited charity offers retiring racehorses and broodmares a safety-net through rehabilitation, retraining and placement in carefully screened and monitored homes.
New Vocations embraces racing and the excitement and joy of racehorse ownership. At the conclusion of a horse’s racing career, New Vocations stands ready to assist with its aftercare needs, including rehabilitation and breaking the horses to ride until a qualified adopter can be found. New Vocations continues to provide education to adopters and care for any adoptees that may be returned at any point, for any reason, throughout their life. Founded in 1992, New Vocations has facilities in Kentucky, Florida, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Louisiana.
The stallion auction is New Vocations’ most important Standardbred fundraiser of the year and a perfect opportunity for stallion owners to show their support of aftercare. To donate a breeding or offer a monetary donation, email [email protected] or call 937-205-4667. Monetary donations can be made through the website at newvocations.org or sent to New Vocations, 719 Dolan Lane, Lexington KY 40511.
To maximize advertising, breedings need to be received as soon as possible. However, breedings will be accepted right up until the auction and throughout the spring.
