The countdown is on to the 2018 Breeders Crown at the Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono. “It all comes down to the Breeders Crown,” the biggest night in harness racing, and Pocono is ready for a spectacular night of racing. Elimination weekend will be just as big, with a special race night added on Friday, Oct. 19 for two-year-olds.
In addition to the stars on the racetrack, fans have the chance to meet former Philadelphia Eagle Keith Byars starting at 5:30 p.m. in the racing lobby. Wristbands are required, and will be distributed starting at 2 p.m. in the lobby. Only the authorized photo given to fans at the event will be signed.
On both elimination nights, Friday, Oct. 19 and Saturday, Oct. 20, fans can be the first to own a commemorative Breeders Crown hat, while supplies last. The coupon for the hat will be in the live racing program, available both nights starting at 5 p.m. Redemption is between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the lower grandstand. Friday’s coupon is not valid on Saturday.
Post time for both elimination nights is 7 p.m., with the three-year-olds and up on Saturday.
Post time for Breeders Crown night (Saturday, Oct. 27) is 5:30 p.m.
