Brittany/Monieson Mares At Harrisburg

The dispersal of broodmares owned by Brittany Farms and the late Brian Monieson, along with the annual reduction of mares from Brittany Farms, will be offered for sale at the upcoming Harrisburg Mixed Sale on Friday, November 8.

The mares will be consigned by Preferred Equine Marketing, Agent.

Known for producing many great horses, including the legendary Artsplace, the Brittany/Monieson partnership “also gave industry breeders some of the best race fillies and foundation mares in the sport today,” according to Brittany Farms Manager Art Zubrod.

“It’s not often that breeders have the chance to acquire bloodlines like these, and the mares are carrying foals that should receive a lot of interest at the select sales.

“We think it provides a terrific opportunity for breeders large or small to step up and improve their holdings,” Zubrod continued.

Featured mares include the dams of current two-year-old stakes winning fillies Allstar Rating, Chocolate Crisp and Act Now, the dam of $2-million winner Vintage Master, and sisters or close relatives to Artsplace, Art Major, Continentalvictory and 2013 stakes filly Mistery Woman.

The list of the mares and their pedigrees are now available on the Brittany Farms website.
