Two-time Ohio Sires Stakes champion and former world record holder Action Uncle will stand stud in 2023.
Midland Acres announced on Monday (Oct. 3) that Action Uncle 2,1:54h; 3,1:52.4h; 1:52.2f ($595,175) will stand his first season at stud in 2023 at Midland Acres in Bloomingburg, Ohio for a fee of $4,000 with multiple mare discounts available.
A five-year-old son of Uncle Peter out of the Dan Patch Award-winning race mare Action Broadway 4,1:52.3 ($1,092,339), Action Uncle had 13 wins, three seconds and two thirds in 19 career starts.
In 2020, Action Uncle set a world record, winning the Ohio Breeders Championship at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in 1:52.4. The victory completed the Ohio Triple Crown as he won the Ohio Sires Stakes Final and the Ohio State Fair Stakes earlier in the year. His three-year-old campaign was capped off with Ohio Horse of the Year honours. He was also Ohio’s Two-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year in 2019.
