Attractions Hippiques is suspending live racing at the one Quebec track where it's still offered, Sulky Quebec in Quebec City, after Sunday's card
.
The decision follows Friday's announcement from the Quebec government it would not be agreeing to the conditions advanced by the company to stay in business.
In a communiqué posted today on its website, Attractions Hippiques said it will try to find a solution to the new financial pressures it faces in the coming days, but if none is found, it will cease operations and liquidate remaining assets.
The company has been in creditor protection since June of 2008.
