Weekend Dining Options At 'Big M'

Comfort foods are the featured buffet station this Friday night (Nov. 1) at The Meadowlands' Pink Buffet.

The Friday buffet is $29.95 and features salmon baked in sea salt, spicy ginger Szechuan beef, chicken piccata and “comfort foods” station mini meatloaves, creamy mashed potatoes and green bean casserole.

The $39.95 Saturday (Nov. 2) buffet features another delicious menu with potato leek soup with crumbled bacon and cheddar cheese, hand-carved brisket with cider and apples, blackened mahi-mahi and chicken cordon bleu. The Saturday buffet begins at 5:30 p.m.

The Friday buffet themed stations continue each week:

• Nov. 8: Havana Nights – traditional Cuban sandwiches with ham, roast pork, pickles and cheese, rice and beans and plantains
• Nov. 15: Polish Festa – pierogis, sauerkraut and kielbasa
• Nov. 22: All American – sliders, grilled hot dogs and fries
• Nov. 29: Make Your Own Mac & Cheese – top with your choice of bacon, scallions, chicken tomatoes and ham

Those coming out early to watch and wager on the Breeders’ Cup from Santa Anita on Saturday can enjoy a $29.95 lunch buffet in Pink that includes carved steak with fried onions, creamy baked macaroni and cheese, hamburgers, hot dogs and baked potatoes. The lunch buffet opens at 12 noon and runs until 5 p.m.

Live harness racing post time for both Friday and Saturday is 7:15 p.m. The first race from Santa Anita on Saturday is 1:07 p.m.
