Robert ‘Bob’ Kennedy Passes

Trot Insider has learned that standardbred owner Robert G. ‘Bob’ Kennedy passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25 at the St. Joseph's Health Centre at the age of 95.

Kennedy was the owner of Kendale Farm of Cookstown, Ont. He owned hundreds of horses over the years in partnership with Clarence Devos, Jim Whelan, John Carlton, Norm and Isabelle Vartanian, among others.

Loving husband of Frances (Pat) (nee Stewart) for 65 years. Cherished father to Cheryl Burklen (Richard Kelley) and Susan Selkirk. Adored grandfather to Bryan and Lisa Lamm and David (Joanne) and Michael Selkirk. ‘Uncle Bob’ will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bob was the founding owner of Kennedy Electric Ltd., and a longtime member of Islington Golf Club.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, October 30 at 3:00 p.m.
