Kathryn 'Kathy' Re, the wife of renowned videographer Aaron Re, passed away after a lingering illness on Saturday, October 24 at the age of 40
. In addition to her husband of nine years, she leaves behind three children, Molly Steinmetz, Maggie Re and Gabriel Re.
Aaron Re began his harness racing career doing videos of the Hanover Shoe Farms yearlings in 2000. Throughout that period, nobody else has done any of the video work for Hanover Shoe Farms.
His videography has expanded to many of the leading breeders and sales companies in both the United States and Canada, in addition to several industry projects with which he has been involved including the Harness Racing Museum.
Jim Simpson, the president of Hanover Shoe Farms, said, “all of us at Hanover share in the grief that Aaron and his family are going through.”
A service to celebrate and remember Kathy’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 127 York St in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
