Hallo’whinny, Ghostbusters, Made In Ontario On Tap At Grand River Raceway

Grand River Raceway wraps up its 69-day season this evening with its annual Made In Ontario and Hallo’whinny events

The track’s fifth annual Made In Ontario (MIO) Night will highlight racing action with a bevy of Ontario-sired conditions including six $12,000 MIO divisions of Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots horses. All winning steeds will receive a bouquet of locally grown carrots and apples, and all winners in the MIO races receive a trophy cooler compliments of the Ontario Harness Horse Association. The Elora, Ont. oval also presents its annual pre-Halloween community event, Hallo’whinny. The 'spooktacular' event is presented by Grand River Raceway staff and horsemen and features a mini Halloween carnival, costume parade on the tarmac and Name The Foal Contest.

Festivities run 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the paddock. Supervised children of all ages are welcome. The event is free and no registration is required. For more information, click here.

As part of its Hallo’whinny festivities, Grand River presents its annual video treat. This year’s spoof is of Ghostbusters and features Doug McNair, Corey Fischer, Kyle Reibeling and several racetrack staff.
