Dover Downs will open its 83-night harness racing season on Monday, Nov. 1 with enhanced wagering options.
All Pick-3s, Pick-4s and Pick-5s feature 100 per cent carryovers. The Pick-5 offers a 15 per cent takeout.
A new 50-cent Pentafecta wager also features a 100 per cent carryover. The wager is offered on the last race nightly.
Opening night is Monday and live racing will be conducted Monday through Thursday. First race post is 4:30 p.m.
The Matron Stakes return on Thursday, Nov. 4 for two-year-old trotters and pacers. The three-year-old trotters and pacers take their cue the following week on Thursday, Nov. 11.
The Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund two-year-old trot and pace eliminations will be contested from November 8-17 and will carry a $20,000 purse. The two-year-old $100,000 finals will take place from November 22-24.
The Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund eliminations for three-year-old pacers and trotters will be contested from November 29-December 9 for a purse of $20,000. The $100,000 three-year-old finals will take place on December 16.
In the spring of 2022, Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund Overnight Series are scheduled for March 21-31.
Dover Downs’ signature race, the Progress Pace, will return with elimination/previews on Wednesday, Nov. 17. The Progress Pace final will be on Wednesday, Nov. 24. The final will carry an estimated purse of $300,000.
Dover Downs races will be broadcast in HD, with TVG slated to carry the product throughout the season.
