The Meadowlands Racetrack’s live racing weekend is again highlighted by Friday's Kindergarten Series for freshman pacers and trotters with two divisions of each gait and sex going for $10,000 in purses and important points toward the rich finals next Saturday, November 3.
Trainer Linda Toscano will send out a triumvirate of talented trotting prodigies in Hanna Dreamgirl (to be driven by Andy McCarthy) and Global Pageant (Scott Zeron) in Race 1 and Sisters Promise (Scott Zeron) in the third (all are currently in position to make the $235,000 [estimated] final).
In the pacing filly department, Nancy Johansson will field three. JK Mardi Says (Andy McCarthy), who will go it alone in Race 4, is currently in pretty good shape to move on to the final after last week's win. In the second race, both Sweet Diamond (David Miller) and JK American Beauty (Andy McCarthy) need to score some points to advance.
Johansson also trains Izzy Hanover, who will not be racing on Friday but currently sits seventh in the standings.
Saturday's races will feature large, competitive fields and the standard horizontal guarantees.
Post time for the Meadowlands’ live racing card will be at 7:15 p.m. on both nights. Please be advised that first post for the Breeders Crown simulcast from The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono will be at 5:30 p.m.
