According to a story on courier-journal.com, Churchill Downs is looking to kick off its 2011 season with an evening program of racing on Saturday, April 30
A request has been submitted to the Kentucky Racing Commission, which is reported to rule on the matter during a meeting on October 26.
Churchill Downs has asked for a 60-day meet in 2011 compared to its 62-day meet in 2010.
