It has been announced that a total of seven 2-year-old pacing colts were entered this morning for the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold elimination scheduled to be contested Sunday, October 17 at Rideau Carleton Raceway.

The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elim than can compete in the final, the elim will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week.

Therefore, the Gold elim for the two-year-old pacing colts which was scheduled for October 17 at Rideau is cancelled. The $40,000 purse for the Gold elim will be added to the regular purse for the final, thus making the total Gold final purse for this event $170,000.

The Gold final will be held on Sunday, October 24 as scheduled, and the post positions will be drawn on Sunday, October 17, when the final would normally have been drawn.

According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elim will be distributed equally between the seven horses which were entered to the event.

The field for the final (in alphabetical order) appears below.

• Bullet Speed
• Cam B Zipper
• Mach Of Ballykeel
• Prodigal Seelster
• Some Mach Some Win
• Twin B Legend
• Watermelonwine
