Longtime horseman Cliff Penalagan, 76, passed away peacefully at the University Hospital during the early morning hours of October 11, 2009

Cliff, a life long resident of London, was a Veteran of the Korean War and a member in good standing of the Canadian Legion. Cliff was an avid horseman well respected in his field, he was recently honoured by his peers in the harness racing industry by being presented with Western Fair Raceway's Merit/Lifetime Achievement Award this past year.
Son of the late Clifford R. Penalagan and Gertrude E.Penalagan. Cherished father of Wendy Boulet of Strathroy ON. and Lorrie Scharf (Barry) of Sudbury ON. Beloved grandfather of Brendan, Chase, Jennifer and Kayla. Dear brother of Doreen Vary (the late Cameron), Anita Lankin (the Late Carl), brother-in-law of George Merner. Predeceased by brother Otto Penalagan (the late Jean) and sister Barbara Merner Treasured uncle of Diane, Linda, Ruth, Cathy, Rick, Karen, Cindy, Georgia and Michael.
A Celebration of Cliff's life will be held at the Western Fair Raceway - lower level on Friday October 16, 2009 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
