Mandatory Jackpot Hi-5 Payouts

Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) has two mandatory payout dates upcoming for its Standardbred Jackpot Hi-5 wager.

The Jackpot Hi-5 will have a mandatory payout on the final race of the Saturday, October 11 card of racing at Mohawk Racetrack. The October 11 card at Mohawk features the $2 million Ontario Sires Stakes Super Finals.

The final race of the meet on Monday, October 13 will also offer a mandatory payout on the Jackpot Hi-5.

The Jackpot Hi-5 has become a popular part of the WEG wagering profile since it launched last October. WEG last offered a mandatory payout event, with carryover, for the Standardbred Jackpot Hi-5 on August 30, generating a total pool of $2,522,851.

The wager requires horseplayers to select the first five finishers in exact order, traditionally, on the last race of the program. The Jackpot proviso means that the entire pool pays out only when there is one winning ticket sold that correctly selects the first five finishers in exact order.

On October 11 and October 13, the mandatory dates, the entire pool, including carryover, could be shared among multiple winners.

The Jackpot Hi-5, which offers a 20-cent minimum, also has a takeout of 15 per cent, a continent-equalling low.
