Alexis ‘Alley’ Maria Magee, 20, passed away on Sunday, January 5 at Morris Hospital.
Born in Naperville, Ill., on December 21, 1993, Alley was the daughter of Dean and Kimberly (Hegwood) Magee. She attended Minooka and Morris high schools.
She was a groom for her father’s standardbred racing stable in Ottawa, Ill. and loved working with her father’s horses. Her favourite horse was Frostonpunkin.
She enjoyed mudding, snowmobiling, dirt-biking, and horseback riding. She loved animals, especially horses. A very free-spirited young lady, she loved having family and friends around. She loved God and is now free to walk with Him.
She is survived by her parents; brother, Taylor; grandparents, Tillie and Fred Hegwood; paternal grandmother, Orriene Buckley; and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Curtis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday (Jan. 11) from 3-7 p.m. at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home located at 301 West Washington Street, Morris, Ill. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday (Jan. 12) at 3 p.m. at the U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Yandell officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded.
