The 2012 season of live harness racing at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park will get underway Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. first-race post time

Rebelryan, who won his last start in the pouring rain on New Year’s Eve, has drawn the rail and the status of morning-line favourite in the $2,200 feature (Race 9). Marc Campbell is back in the bike for trainer-owner Kevin MacLean.
The nine-year-old veteran will meet Ultimate Yankee, who is red hot right now for trainer Robert Laffin and driver Kenny Arsenault. Ultimate Yankee won his last race in gate-to-wire fashion to score his third victory from five starts. The race will also feature Blue Star Outlaw, Blu Meadow Willie, Hutchinson Hanover, Oakrock Almighty and Last Art On Deck.
Combustibletrouble is also on a roll right now for new owners Ashley Gamester and Sophie Hughes of Cornwall. Jason Hughes has driven the son of Twin B Champ to back to back victories since qualifying without the hobbles on December 3 but meets the $3,000 claimer ranks against top guns like Beautys Spur and The Streak.
