The Meadowlands Racetrack hosts live harness racing every Friday and Saturday through the winter with a 6:20 p.m. post time. Every Friday in January, racing fans can enjoy free programs available beginning at 5 p.m.
New for 2023 is Sunday matinee racing on Jan. 22 and 29 with a 12:30 p.m. post time. During the Sunday matinee cards, guests can dine at the $29.95 brunch featuring eggs benedict, French toast, scrambled eggs, a carving station and Jason Settlemoir’s spicy bloody Mary.
Among The Meadowlands's promotions offered in January is the Winter Meet Survival Challenge powered by 123Racing, which kicks off on Friday, Jan. 6. Cash prizes and Meadowlands swag are up for grabs in this free online competition. The grand prize is $750 plus a Meadowlands swag package. New this year is the monthly $100 winner. On Jan. 14, The Meadowlands will host a six-course Latin-inspired wine dinner for $79.95. The menu includes shrimp ceviche, tostones, empanadas, grilled skirt steak and three desserts.
